Yes. People have actually said these things to me both to my face and in private messages on social media.

💜 Before #cysticfibrosis was discovered in the 1930’s, doctors misdiagnosed it as celiac disease. Children were severely malnourished and battled respiratory infections that led to their deaths. Many kids didn’t make it past 3 years old.

💜 Today though, there is so much HOPE in this community! Still, Cystic Fibrosis is not a disease that can just be fixed by wellness practices alone.

💜 I strongly believe that a great quality of life with CF includes the daily prescription meds needed to survive, appropriate vaccinations, AND wellness practices such as chiropractic care, real food nutrition, good sleep habits, massage therapy, and exercise.

💜 If you are in the wellness industry and you want to share your product or service with a CF patient, be sure to be aware of the reality of their disease so you can be informed correctly. CF is not celiac disease. And a CF person or parent will be much more likely to listen to what you have to share if you approach them from the POV of how you can help them build a strong immune system and more energy. If you come at them with claims of them being able to go off medication, they will most likely not want to hear about the helpful product or service that you have for them because you will sound like someone who knows nothing about the reality of their life. 💜
It. Is. Finished. 🥰 This manuscript is 11 years in the making. If not a few decades actually.

I’m going over it one more time before hitting send this weekend so my contact at Publishizer can pitch it to actual real publishers. And even if no one else believes in it, I know that we have the skills to publish it ourselves as a company. Here’s to a brand new journey of dangerous hope...
You’re not in control of what happens to you, but you are in control of how you handle it. Don’t throw away your character in a moment of hurt by saying hurtful words you can never take back. How you end a season matters.
Yes, you can be strong, assertive, confident, AND humble. That doesn’t make you a pushover. It makes you great. 😊💜☕️

This day was equal parts productive and full of adventure. It felt so good to go for a walk outside with my Handsome. And with only a week left to meet my deadline, I finally filled in the missing pieces of Dangerous Hope! When clarity comes, you gotta lean in and catch it while it’s hot! 😉

How did you spend your Sunday?
The other day I had a thought: It’s funny how when the light shines on you, hope seems so easy. And when it gets cloudy, gray, and dark, hope seems lost.⠀
⠀
I think this is where faith comes in. You see, on every journey of hope, we’ve got to learn to have faith. We must believe that even when we can’t always see the light shining on us, hope is not lost. The sun will shine again.⠀
⠀
Such is the journey of hope; it’s a long game.⠀
⠀
“What should be done in the meantime?” you might ask. Well, that’s when we must find ways to keep hope alive. Put yourself in areas where the sun does shine so you remember the feeling. Choose to have a heart of gratitude and be thankful for the highs and the lows.⠀😊💜☕️
Your comfort zone never makes you strong. It makes you complacent. If a situation is causing you to retreat to comfort, it’s time to ask yourself “how can I grow stronger - mentally, emotionally, spiritually, financially, or physically - from this?” And then get to it. Strength is a choice. And so is comfort.

✨If this resonates with you, save it by clicking the ribbon icon on the right hand side below the photo, and then share it with your peeps, too. You never know who needs the reminder that strength is a choice.

Happy Valentine’s Day! We went on a date last night and it felt so good to know that my smoky-eye makeup skills haven’t disappeared. 😉
