The One Thing Keeping You Sick
By: Mandy B. Anderson

I’ve listened to the voice of sickness and the voice of healing. One is hopeless and dark, the other is full of life! Which one are you listening to today?

Which one are you listening to right now? Write it down. Seriously, take out a pen and paper and write down the thoughts in your head. Are they lining up with the voice of sickness and lies? Or…are they lining up with the voice of healing and truth?

I asked my friends on Facebook this question earlier this week and a few said they were listening to the voice of healing…but others mentioned words like:

“Both, they are fighting over me…”

“Working very hard to ignore the pounding in my head and instead focus on the voice of healing…”

Aw…not sure about you, but I know those voices all too well. Maybe you do too. Years ago when I struggled with weekly migraine headaches, I too worked very hard to ignore the pounding in my head. Back then I wasn’t fully aware of the tools I’m about to share with you so I usually gave in to the pain and was forced to try and sleep in a dark room hopped up on pills and an ice pack on my head. Down for the count! I lost many battles back then.

Until I learned of a secret weapon.

Are you ready for it?

Now, before I share this with you, I ask that you promise me you’ll at least give it a try for a week. Sometimes I choose not to use this weapon and it makes me miserable – downright horrible! Then I pull it out and put it into action and I notice a change within 48 hours. This principle works if you choose to use it consistently…and that will be the war you must win! You must choose to use it every day.

This secret weapon is not new. It’s not something I cooked up in my basement (I don’t even have a basement!). It’s older than the current medical system, works way better, and it has the power to completely annihilate your pain and your sadness.

So here it is…

The one thing keeping you sick is this: Your choice of words.

It’s simple, but it’s not easy. You must put your game face on and determine that no matter how you feel, you will not believe the voice that lies to you and taunts you that you’ll never get better and never be healed. That voice is a lier and if you’re reading this right now, then you are destined to overcome this! You wouldn’t still be reading if that weren’t the truth.

Choose to speak life over your body! Daily! No matter how you feel! This is so important. How many times do we say out loud things like:

    “I’m so sick!”

“My whole body hurts so bad!”

“No matter what I try I just keep getting sick again!”

    “I never have any energy!”

“Everyone keeps worrying about my weight and it makes me nervous, anxious, and stressed out!”

“It seems like I have several good days and then the pain returns and I can’t do anything again. When will this ever get     better?”

Friends, you trap yourself in sickness when you speak those words. I’ve experienced this first hand and been trapped too because of it. We as a society have totally lost touch with the truth that our words create our reality.

You might be skeptical right now and to that I say GOOD! That means you have a smart head on your shoulders and you do your research. So, I encourage you to do your very own study and speak the following over your life and body (out loud) for the next five days. Research it on yourself! The worst that will happen is I will be wrong and you’ll be right. The best that will happen is you will begin to feel better. It’s your call.

Words to speak every day:

  • Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones.
  • The tongue that brings healing is a tree of life, but a deceitful tongue crushes the spirit.
  • Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.

If you believe in God, or you want to believe in God, speak these as well:

  • I will not die but I will live and declare the works of the Lord.
  • The Lord will sustain me on my sickbed and restore me from my bed of illness. (Psalm 41:3)
  • God is my refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. (Psalm 46:1)
  • Be merciful to me, Lord, for I am faint; O Lord, heal me, for my bones are in agony. (Psalm 6:2)
  • O Lord my God, I called to you for help and you healed me. (Psalm 30:2)

Friends, it’s time to condition our minds for truth and stop speaking sickness. Stop acting sick. Stop accepting sickness. Stop agreeing with sickness by giving in and walking around defeated and depressed.

Yes, there really is a war for your life. You will hear the voices of sickness and health fighting over you. You will. But guess what? You don’t have to be a helpless child in this custody battle any longer. You now have the most powerful tool and the ball is in your court.

So…take the challenge. Just try this out for five days and let me know how it works for you. Stop by Facebook so we can see each other and report back what you find!

I believe in you and I look forward to hearing from you…
